10 lbs down!

Woohoo! I've finally hit the ten pound mark! I feel really good about it. I've been really sticking to my food choices and eating breakfast (i'm terrible at this) every morning. Breakfast mostly consists of whole fruit shakes, half a whole grain bagel, cucumber and cottage cheese. Then on to lunch; salads with spinach and lots of veggies. Sometimes topped with tuna sometimes not. And then supper is whatever I can throw together after work. Grilled chicken and veggies or salad.

Now all I have to do to get the whole package going is jogging and little bit more exercise.They're actually building a gym right next to work so I might join up.

A quarter inch?

So I redid my mesurements today. I hadn't done them in over a month so I was excited to see if anything has changed. Nothing much so far; I lost a quarter inch around my hips and around my thighs. All very nice, but only a quarter? I'm the incredibly slowly shrinking woman. I'm just scared I'll end up losing all the fat in my butt and none in my boobs and end up looking like a ball on a stick. (Come on, you've seen them all, women who are short and round with no ass and super skinny legs and arms. Kinda like a watermelon on toothpicks or the California Raisins. You know you've seen one.)

Has it really been three months since I started up this lifestyle change? Seems to me it's been more than that. Oh well time flies when you're in a crunch! Anyway. Today I decided to weigh myself for the first time in I'd say a month. I'm actually at 157 which is good considering how many times I fell off that damn wagon...

I've changed my goal date to September 1 but I'd really like to be trim for Phil's cousin's wedding at the end of July. I've yet to buy a dress but I have a few in mind. I promised myself to purchase the dress no later than a week before the wedding so that I'm not crash dieting at the last minute or doing major alterations (wishfull thinking perhaps?). Choices are knee length pink satin and brown lace, strapless, tight and form fitting OR same colours and fabric shin length, flared skirt and straps. I like the first one better... I guess we'll have to see!

I weighed myself this morning and was delighted when I noticed my new weight! 155 pounds baby! I've always found that dieting was hard to do and I was never motivated to keep it up cause I never really saw any progress or changes. I'm silly that way but if I don't see results right away I fall off the wagon. But nonetheless; almost three weeks in and I've lost 6 pounds total! That's 0.35 lbs a day! Yay for me! :D
