We got a kitten yesterday. He's a rescue cat and he's totally adorable. We named him Lord Darth Vader, after Phil's favourite tragic character of all time. He even has a little mask of sorts. We're totally obssessed with him; neither of us ever had a pet growing up so it's fun. I didn't sleep too well because he kept curling up in the strangest (and warmest!) places; on my head, my neck, my armpit even my crotch! It was really endearing but I'm totally exhausted.

Today's our first anniversary! I can't believe it's been that long already... damn, does time fly or what? We haven't planned anything romantic like going out or anything because we're both working and my parents can't lend us the car... but we'll manage something.
The first anniversary is paper and being completely broke, except for a measly 20 dollars, I bought him the poster he wanted at Christmas and put that one, as well as all his other Star Wars posters, up on the wall in the office. He's been meaning to do it for a year, but never had that time. I’m pretty clever, huh?

Phil really enjoyed the poster thing; it's all part of his plan to convert the office into a "gaming room". I suppose I'll have to let him do just that eventually.....We decided to order in some Swiss Chalet for dinner. Yum. Is it me or did the chicken always taste this salty? The order also came with strawberry cheese cake. Evil thing of the world but soooooo goooood; I had two pieces! But then I remembered that you're supposed to have a piece of your wedding cake on your anniversary so I had to get that out too. It wasn't really pretty; the whole round cake in the cardboard box, sitting on the top shelf of the freezer for a year... yeah it had gone a little stale but we each had a mini bite for the sake of posterity. Then I tossed it... LOL It was great evening spent with my honey and to the coming years, a toast to us! *clink* *clink* *hic*
