Easy Biscuits

These are easy to make and tasty. They go great with any meal or can be served alone, warmed with butter or with jams or preserves.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups of flour (white or whole wheat)
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt (you can reduce this by half)
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup milk

- Heat oven to 400 degrees Farenheit
- Combine Flour, Paking Powder, and Salt
- Add the Shortening until it crumbs
- Stir in milk
- Knead 8 or 10 times
- Roll into 1/2" thick roll
- Cut into rounds
- Place on baking sheet on middle rack and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. *I put them in for 17 minutes so that they brown*

Variations: Add 2 cups of grated cheese with dry ingredients
